Greens 6" Multim in Parvo

This mower was designed to mow in between gravestones or mark out tennis courts.  It was made circa 1860.  Note the handle bars were much lower than they are today.  People are on average at least 6 inches taller now.

Multim in Parvo is Latin for 'With little, Much'. And is Rutlands County Motto.

Why a gear drive? Well the chain had not been invented at this point. After all Custer was making his last stand at the Little Big Horn.

Advert for the Silens Messer circa 1890

Silens Messer is Latin for Silent Mower.
